Lead vocals, a big laugh, Outstanding.
Tiny Desk AI
Tiny Desk AI puts you and up to two friends in the viral "Outstanding" desk concert. One photo makes you the lead singer with the famous laughing close-up; add a second for the sax solo and a third for the keys. Your 15-second 9:16 video keeps the original song. Choose 480p, 720p or 1080p; 720p is selected for you.

Tiny Desk AI examples: photos in, desk concert out
Two actual 480p Tiny Desk AI results. In the Solo, one photo of a woman with long brown hair becomes the lead singer. In the Trio, three photos take the lead, the sax and the keys. Compare each photo with the full clip. Tap for sound.
How to make your Tiny Desk AI video
The desk, the band, the camera cuts and the song are already set. You choose how many people to put in and add one photo for each. Read the Tiny Desk AI video guide for the shot-by-shot breakdown and photo tips.
Step 1: Choose Solo, Duo or Trio
Solo replaces the lead singer. Duo replaces the lead singer and the sax player. Trio also replaces the keyboard player. The band always has five players; anyone you do not replace stays from the scene.
Step 2: Add one person per photo
Photo 1 is the lead singer, photo 2 the sax player and photo 3 the keyboard player. Use a clear photo of one adult, face visible, wearing the clothes you want in the video.
Step 3: We check the photos and film the concert
After payment, every photo is checked before generation. Each photo supplies a face, hair and outfit; the desk, instruments and camera come from the scene. We add the original song at the end.
Step 4: Watch and download
Allow about 15 minutes including processing; busy periods can take longer. Watch the full clip with sound, then download the MP4 and share it with an AI-generated label.
Our stopwatch. Timed on the video model, from starting the task to the finished video: our eight test videos at 12 seconds and 720p took 2 min 32 s to 3 min 40 s.

What happens in the Tiny Desk AI concert
The desk band (0–5 s)
The keyboard player sits at a red keyboard, pumping a fist and clapping, while two singers belt it out behind. In Trio, photo 3 takes the keyboard seat.
The laughing close-up (5–11 s)
The lead singer turns from profile to the camera, sings, grins, waves a hand next to the face and breaks into a big laugh. This is photo 1, and it is the shot everyone remembers.
The sax solo (11–15 s)
The sax player blows into a microphone with eyes half closed while the keyboard player smiles in the corner. In Duo and Trio, photo 2 plays the sax.
The meme comes from the closing song of a famous office desk concert: a soul band around a desk full of records, a big laughing close-up and a sax solo, all to "Outstanding". In October 2026 a creator swapped in five football coaches who had just lost, and the all-loss Tiny Desk concert spread from there.
Our Tiny Desk AI scene follows the same three shots in about 15 seconds. You decide who takes the important seats. The lead singer gets the longest and funniest shot, so Solo always replaces the lead.
Your photo supplies the Tiny Desk AI look

- Your face, hair and outfit
- Same desk, band and camera cuts
- Up to three of your people
- Original song added
- 15 seconds, 9:16
In the Solo example, long wavy brown hair stays long through the profile, the turn and the laugh, and the cream sweater survives the hand wave. In the Trio, the grey T-shirt, the long black hair under the sax headset and the blonde waves at the keyboard all stay with their owners, even in the corner of the sax shot.
The limits: the two back singers are part of the scene in every version, and the right one wears glasses that belong to the scene. Hands near the face, small fabric textures and logos can change, and higher resolution does not guarantee an exact likeness.

Photo tips and fine print for Tiny Desk AI

Works: One person, straight on, even light

Avoid: Sunglasses

Avoid: Side profile

Avoid: Group photo

Avoid: Dark or backlit
Use one adult per photo in good light, face unobstructed and hair in frame. Glasses and facial hair are fine. Photos of children, group shots or no visible person are turned away, and the credits stay in your balance.

Tiny Desk AI questions
What is the Tiny Desk AI trend?
It is an AI meme built on the closing song of a famous Tiny Desk concert, "Outstanding". It took off in October 2026 when a TikTok creator put five college football coaches who had just lost into the band as the all-loss Tiny Desk concert. People now make versions with friends, coworkers and their own team. This page makes that video from your photos.
Is this the "Outstanding Tiny Desk" or "Charlie Wilson Tiny Desk AI" video?
Yes, people also call it Outstanding Tiny Desk AI, the Charlie Wilson Tiny Desk AI meme or the all-loss Tiny Desk concert. Same desk band, laughing close-up and sax solo, made with AI actors rather than real footage.
Can I put my friends in it?
Yes. Choose Duo to add a friend on sax, or Trio to add a third person on keys, each with their own photo. The price stays the same.
Which photo should I upload?
One clear photo of one adult per slot, face and hair visible, in the clothes you want in the video. Pets, children and group photos are not supported.
How long is the video, and does it have sound?
About 15 seconds in 9:16 portrait, ready for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. The original song is added after generation, so you do not need to pick a sound.
How much does Tiny Desk AI cost?
480p costs $6.99, 720p costs $9.99, and 1080p costs $14.99, or 20, 30 or 45 credits from a pack, whether you add one, two or three photos. There is no free personalized preview; the two examples above are actual results you can watch first.
How long will my video take?
Allow about 15 minutes, including processing. Our two 480p tests took 4 min 52 s and 4 min 55 s on the video model before the song was added. That is not a delivery promise; queues and resolution change the wait. We email you when it is ready.
Is this made by NPR or Tiny Desk?
No. It is an independent, fan-made meme video tool and is not affiliated with NPR, Tiny Desk Concerts or the original performers.
What if generation fails?
The credits return to your account balance. An unsuitable photo is stopped before video generation and also returns its credits. You can then choose another photo or retry from your balance.
