Each video below started as one or two phone photos. Nobody filmed anything: the forecourt, the moves and the car came from the AI. Tap a card for sound. Every face here is AI-generated.

  • Two friends

She dances under the canopy while he leans on a pump, he takes the selfie with her dancing behind him, and she steps out of the car into his arm.

How to do the gas station dance AI trend

Three steps, and only the first one needs you. The stopwatch under them is our own timing, not a promise.

  1. Step 1: Add your photo

One clear photo of you, face to the camera, full body if you have it. Want company? Add a friend or your dog as photo 2. Leave it empty and you star in all three shots.

  2. Step 2: Make it and download

Press make. The video renders while you wait, or close the tab and we’ll email you when it’s ready. Most finish in about 5 minutes.

  3. Step 3: Post it with the sound

In TikTok or Reels, add the trending sound and turn ours down. That’s what makes it read as the trend in the feed.

Our stopwatch. Timed on the video model, from starting the task to the finished video: our four test videos at 15 seconds, 720p and 9:16 took 2 min 44 s to 5 min 37 s.

The three shots of the gas station dance

  1. The forecourt freestyle

About six seconds of loose, confident dancing in front of the pumps, arms up at the end.

  2. The tilted selfie

A quick close-up from arm’s length, grinning into the lens with the canopy behind.

  3. The step out of the car

The driver’s door swings open and you step out into the warm light and smile.

Every gas station dance follows the same short script: an empty forecourt at golden hour, glowing canopy lights, a sky going from orange to purple. We kept that script and made it 15 seconds, vertical, with hard cuts between the shots.

Your face and clothes stay yours. The station has no brand on it, the car has no badge, and the beat is our own, so there is nothing to clear before you post.

Do the gas station dance solo, with a friend or with your pet

  1. One photo

You dance, you take the selfie and you step out of the car.

  2. You and a friend

Photo 1 dances while photo 2 waits by the pump, photo 2 takes the selfie, and photo 1 steps out of the car into their arm.

  3. You and your pet

Your dog bounces beside you on four paws, leans into the selfie and hops out of the car first.

  4. Just your pet

One pet photo and the pet does all three shots: a happy spin, a face close-up and a hop out of the car.

The original clip had three friends, but it works just as well with fewer. What you upload decides who is in each shot, and each person keeps their own face and clothes, so nobody’s features get mixed up.

Partly. Some new visitors get a free 5-second, low-res preview after signing in with Google: the forecourt freestyle on its own. It’s one per person and can’t be downloaded.

The full 15-second gas station dance is 13 credits at the default quality, $7.99 on its own, or out of a credit pack from $14.99. No subscription, and a failed render costs nothing. See every price.

Before you upload

  • A selfie of one woman facing the camera in soft daylight

Works: One person, straight on, even light

  • A man in dark sunglasses on a sunny street

    Avoid: Sunglasses

  • A woman seen from the side on a train platform

    Avoid: Side profile

  • Four friends squeezed into one selfie

    Avoid: Group photo

  • A man whose face is in shadow against a bright sky

    Avoid: Dark or backlit

Example photos made with AI, not real people.

Use photos you’re allowed to use, of adults only. A front-facing daylight photo, full body if possible, keeps the likeness best: no sunglasses, no hat pulled low, one person per photo. A plain background helps too, and no two renders come out exactly alike, so a second try can look quite different from the first.

  • Private photos Deleted automatically after 30 days.

  • Failed renders cost nothing The credits go back on their own.

  • One-time payments No subscription. Nothing renews.

  • Google sign-in Email works too; the free preview needs Google.

Gas station dance AI FAQ

What is the gas station dance trend?

A TikTok and Reels format that took off in late September 2026: a freestyle on an empty gas station forecourt at golden hour, a tilted selfie, then someone stepping out of a nice car. People now make their own version with AI from a photo.

Where does the trend come from?

From a road-trip clip by the Russian blogger Mikhail Litvin and his friends Ravshan and Adel, filmed at a gas station in summer 2024. We aren’t connected to them, and our videos don’t use their footage, faces or audio.

How do I do the gas station dance with AI?

Add one photo, or two if you want a friend or your pet in it, and press make. The 15-second video is ready in about 5 minutes. Add the trending sound when you post.

What song is the gas station dance?

The trend’s sound changes from post to post and isn’t credited anywhere we could check. Your video comes with its own original beat; to match a post you like, pick its sound in TikTok and turn ours down.

Do I need a prompt, CapCut or Higgsfield?

No. It runs in the browser on your phone or computer. The forecourt, the light and the three shots are already written; you only add a photo.

Can two or three people be in it?

Two, yes: photo 1 dances and photo 2 takes the selfie, then you both end up by the car. A three-person version isn’t available yet.

Can my dog or cat be in it?

Yes. Upload the pet alone and it does all three shots, or add it as photo 2 next to you. It stays a real animal on four paws the whole time.

How long is it and what does it cost?

Fifteen seconds, vertical 9:16. At the default quality it’s 13 credits, or $7.99 as a single video. A failed render returns its credits on its own.
